Discovering Nature Nearby: Fungi Frolic
Join Harmony Mushroom Co. on a guided "Fungi Frolic" through the Jacksonville Arboretum & Botanical Gardens. Learn from an expert about the different types of fungi found in the area and their important ecological roles.
Volunteer Opportunity - Weekly Wednesday Workday
This is our most consistent volunteer opportunity, and a great way to get involved in the ongoing care of our beautiful gardens. Our core group of volunteers tackles a variety of essential tasks every Wednesday, including weeding, pruning, planting, mulching, and special projects.

The Jacksonville Arboretum & Botanical Gardens is a 136-acre, beautiful picturesque property. Centered around a gorgeous, gleaming lake, it offers natural trails with creeks and 13 different eco-systems. Only 10 mins from downtown, this ideal venue is in Arlington, just off of 295 on the east side of the city.

Our Discovering Nature Nearby (DNN) educational, arts, and culture programs exemplify this commitment. This series brings expert-led classes and events to JABG, offering unique opportunities to explore our diverse ecosystems and wildlife.
