Join us at the Jacksonville Arboretum & Botanical Gardens for A Look in the Lake, an educational program exploring the ecology and management of our lake. Led by JABG Board Member and Jacksonville University professor Jeremy Stalker, this engaging morning talk will dive into the lake’s history as a 1970s borrow pit pond and its role today as a managed clastic upland lake ecosystem.
Participants will gain an overview of current lake conditions and a look at what lives in the lake, while learning how JABG plans to continue to monitor this important freshwater habitat. Discover how science, stewardship, and community involvement come together to support the health of this unique aquatic environment.
