Seeding Jacksonville
The Jacksonville Arboretum & Botanical Gardens' fourth annual meeting, in which the organization will report to the public about the health, future, and successes of JABG; this year also features guest speaker Todd Lasseigne, executive director of Bellingrath Gardens.
We are thrilled to be bringing back Seeding Jacksonville, our annual report to the public, for its fourth year! Join us on Thursday, April 2nd, for a night of connection and inspiration, featuring Bellingrath Gardens Executive Director Todd Lasseigne. This signature event brings together supporters, partners, and visitors for an evening highlighting JABG’s accomplishments from 2025 and its vision for the future.
In a change from previous years’ keynote format, this year's event will feature a panel discussion, creating a more engaging experience for attendees. The panel, featuring Lasseigne and JABG CEO Dana J. Doody, will explore trends in public gardens, community impact, the importance of green spaces, and more, followed by a live audience Q&A session. Guests will also enjoy beer, wine, and hors d’oeuvres while networking with fellow garden enthusiasts, industry professionals, and other community members.
Seeding Jacksonville also serves as an annual fundraising event for JABG, welcoming influential voices from across the public garden world to inspire JABG supporters. Todd Lasseigne brings a wealth of experience in horticulture and public garden leadership. Through his work at Bellingrath Gardens & Home and other major garden institutions, Lasseigne has championed the role of gardens as spaces for education, conservation, and community connection, making his perspective especially meaningful as JABG continues to grow and look toward the future.
